This Privacy Policy explains how ResumeCore ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use our website at resumecore.in and our services. By using ResumeCore, you agree to this policy.

1. Who We Are

ResumeCore is an AI-powered platform that helps job seekers improve their resumes. We offer a Resume Analyzer that reviews resumes for strengths, weaknesses, and ATS compatibility, and a JD Match tool that tailors a resume to a specific job description. We are based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following information:

• Account information — your name and email address, provided when you register.
• Resume content — the resume files and text you upload, including your work history, education, skills, contact details, and any other information contained in your resume.
• Job descriptions — any job description text you paste in to use the JD Match feature.
• Payment information — when you purchase a Pro subscription, payment is processed by Razorpay. We do not store your card details; Razorpay handles all payment data.
• Usage data — basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and how you interact with the service, used to keep the service secure and working.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the core service — analysing and tailoring your resume.
• To create and manage your account.
• To save your analysis and match history so you can access it later.
• To process payments and manage your subscription.
• To maintain the security of the service and prevent abuse.
• To respond to your support requests.

4. Third-Party Services We Use

We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to run ResumeCore. Your information is shared with them only as needed to provide the service:

• Google (Gemini AI) — your resume content and job descriptions are processed by Google's Gemini AI to generate analysis and tailored output. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — our database provider, where your account details, resume data, and history are securely stored. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
• Clerk — handles user authentication and login. See Clerk's Privacy Policy.
• Razorpay — processes all payments for Pro subscriptions. See Razorpay's Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We do not share it with advertisers.

5. How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your account information and resume history for as long as you have an account with us. Free-tier analysis and match results are retained while your account is active. Pro users have access to a rolling 90-day history. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information and resume data from our active systems, except where we are required to retain certain records by law.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You use the service at your own risk.

7. Your Rights

You can review or update your account information at any time by logging in. You can request a copy of your data, or request that we delete your data, by emailing us at hello@resumecore.in. We will act on valid requests in accordance with applicable Indian data protection law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

8. Children

ResumeCore is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. International Data Transfer

Some of our service providers (such as Google and Supabase) may process or store data on servers located outside India. By using ResumeCore, you consent to your information being processed in this way, subject to the protections described in this policy.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review it periodically.
